INTERFLEX collaborates with UPC University on the construction of a sustainable building project

The Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) participates this year on the Solar Decathlon Europe 2014 with its RESSÒ sustainable house. The targets on its construction have been a low energy consumption, the use of materials with a lower environmental impact and enhancing the passive and bioclimatic systems.

INTERFLEX has given support to this initiative and the young people that made it possible cooperating on the supply of its VIAFIL cable tray system for the management of all the cables on the installation. The company’s desire is to encourage the innovation in Spain and give a hand to our future architects in its aim to build more environmentally friendly constructions regarding the building materials used and a reduction on the energy consumption.

The steel used on the cable trays is recyclable, and the trivalent zinc plating treatment is free of hexavalent chrome and complies with the RoHS European directive for the restriction of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment.

INTERFLEX wishes good luck to all the RESSÒ team in its participation on the Solar Decathlon Europe 2014!
