New identification on the Viafil mesh tray
We have introduced identification plates to ensure the proper identification of our Viafil wire-mesh cable trays.
In electrical and industrial installations, proper material identification is essential to ensure traceability, safety, and efficient infrastructure maintenance. With this objective in mind, we have incorporated a new identification plate on our cable tray lengths with the following finishes:
Z3+: electrolytic zinc plating (Class 6)
HR: high resistance (Class 8)
I: AISI 304 stainless steel (Class 9C)
This plate includes key information such as the manufacturer, applicable certifications, and the surface finish of each cable tray.

Surface finish identification
One of the main benefits of this improvement is the ability to quickly and reliably identify the surface finish of each cable tray length. Until now, the different finishes (Z3+ electro-galvanized, High Resistance HR, and AISI 304 stainless steel) could appear very similar, making it difficult to distinguish between them once installed or stored.
Thanks to the new identification plate, installers, distributors, and maintenance personnel can immediately identify the product's characteristics without the need for additional inspections or verification procedures.
-
Enhanced product traceability
The permanent identification plate improves product traceability throughout its entire lifecycle, from manufacturing and distribution to installation and maintenance. This traceability is particularly valuable in industrial projects, critical infrastructure, and applications where comprehensive documentation of installed components is required.
-
Ceriancetification compliance
The identification plate also includes the certifications associated with the product, allowing users to quickly verify that the installed cable tray meets the regulatory and technical requirements of each project. This information simplifies inspection, auditing, and quality control processes, providing greater confidence to installers, engineering firms, and end users.
-
Maintenance and system upgrades optimization
During maintenance activities or system expansions, the correct identification of existing materials is essential to ensure compatibility with newly installed components. The new identification plate provides immediate information about the manufacturer, cable tray type, and surface finish, helping users select the appropriate accessories and components while preventing errors that could affect the installation's durability or corrosion resistance.
-
Quality assurance
The identification plates also clearly display the INTERFLEX brand. In a market where products may appear visually similar while offering significantly different levels of performance, permanent identification makes it possible to immediately verify that the cable tray has been manufactured by a company with a well-established reputation in the industry. This provides greater confidence to installers, engineering firms, distributors, and end users, ensuring that the installed product meets the quality, safety, and performance standards associated with a leading brand in the sector.
We have also introduced an unmarked (blank) identification plate designed to allow customers to create their own on-site identification system.
This solution enables each cable tray length to be customized with installation-specific information, such as service type, voltage level, circuit identification, process area, work zone, or any other internal reference required for the management and maintenance of the infrastructure.

Material: self-extinguishing polymer with excellent UV resistance
This additional identification helps improve installation organization, streamlines maintenance operations, and reduces intervention times by providing clear and easily accessible information. It also enhances safety by allowing rapid identification of different cable routes and the areas they serve.
As a result, the cable tray not only provides physical support for the cables but also becomes an active element for installation identification and management, fully adaptable to the specific requirements of each project.
